When it seems as if I have no one to turn to when things go wrong in my life, I turn to my family and god. Ever since birth I have had a mother that goes out of her way to make sure that I am well taken care of. I can recall nights and times when my mother stayed by my bed side when I was at my lowest. She has also gone out her way to attend any extra curricular activities I did in school or for the community. Her being a single parent it was hard for her to be at two places at the same time. My brother played football and I played in the Brazos Valley Symphony and for my church choir. She made sure that we stayed in something positive and that kept us busy year around. When my mother didn't have work for we had free time. She would pull something from the internet or she would ask our teachers for work to do in our free time we also attended book club every Monday. She made sure that we were on top of our school work, then we would be able to look at television or go ride our bikes around the neighborhood. If my mother wasn't able to sit down and have one-on-one time with us or needed an extra hand at times, my grandmother was really good at stepping in and making sure that things got done in a decent order and time. She is also has positive impact on my life. If you ever need someone to vent to whenever you overwhelmed or any problems she always has open ears and great advice for future references. Growing up with just me and my oldest brother my mother and grandmother pushed us to achieve different things. They searched for opportunities for us to express ourselves and also do things that would brighten our future. When I was 10 years old my life and family changed. My mom met my stepfather, she had more help and support which made out household grow in many ways. My brother was able to experience things boys are supposed to do. And my mother was able to teach me things teenage girls needed to know. We could finally say our family is complete.
Damonica - Print this immediately. Then put it in an envelop that says "Mom" and set it on the kitchen counter next to some flowers. That woman needs to read this! And look at those flowery church hats! I know your mama likes flowers cause I like her hat!
